The COST Meeting - Attosecond Chemistry will be held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and it will be hosted by the Faculty of Physics, Babeș-Bolyai University. The conference venue will be the central building of the Babeș-Bolyai University, located in the center of Cluj-Napoca (main entrance from M. Kogălnicenu street 1).
Cluj-Napoca can be easily accessed by plane. The Cluj International airport has flights to many European cities, served by the companies Lufthansa, Wizzair, Tarom, LOT, Turkish Airlines, etc.
We recommand to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. The fare is metered, usually is around 60 lei (less than 13 euro).
From the conference site to the university we recommand to use the public transport (tram). Cluj-Napoca has a relatively efficient public transportation system, which operates from 5.00 to 23.00 (5.00 – 22.00 on weekends). One urban trip costs 2.5 lei. Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines placed in stations (ticket for two trips, paid by cash or credit card) or in vehicles (ticket for 1 trip, paid by credit card only). More information on the official website of the public transportation company.
Information about Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár, Klausenburg) can be obtained by browsing its Wikipedia page.
For the conference participants rooms were booked in Hotel Universitas, the hotel of the Babeş-Bolyai University (Str. Pandurilor, nr. 7, entrance from str. Plopilor). The hotel is equivalent to 3*, every room has private bathroom. The hotel reception is open 24/7.
Accomodation for a regular participant in hotel Universitas depends on availability. Regular participants may request reservation using the on-line form, but that will be guaranteed only after a confirmation letter from the organizers.
Breakfast is an additional 15 lei/person
Private parking at the hotel: 15 lei/day
Lunch will be offered on all 3 conference days at the Piramida restaurant of the university (near conference site) for 20 euro/person/day.
Accomodation and lunch should be reserved at the on-line registration process. Accomodation should be paid at the hotel reception (card or cash in lei). Meals should be paid at the registration desk of the meeting in cash (euro or lei).
